Adolescent IOP

CODAC Health, Recovery & Wellness now offers an Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents ages 12-17 in the Tucson area. This 16-week IOP provides a therapeutic, team approach to trauma and substance abuse treatment.

This program utilizes the Matrix Model, an evidence-based, behavior-focused intensive outpatient treatment program for alcohol and drug use. Small group sizes of 8-12 allow participants to actively participate in complex cognitive behavioral and clinical concepts.

Who is appropriate for this IOP?

- Adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17
- Diagnosis of alcohol and/or other drug abuse or dependence
- AHCCCS-eligible
- Individuals on juvenile probation

Family Involvement

Substance abuse effects the entire family, not just the adolescent receiving treatment. After 5 weeks of intensive treatment with the youth, we provide family education groups for full-family participation. Parents and family members will meet separately to learn tools to heal from the effects of trauma and substance abuse. Other components of treatment include individual, family and/or in-home therapy.
