What happens during an intake session?
The intake session is to get to know you, and takes about an hour and a half. First, you will be asked to fill out a medical history and review several forms. You will then meet with a clinician who will ask you some questions about yourself, what concerns you are having, why you are interested in services, etc. The two of you will work together to develop a plan, usually called a service plan, about how to meet your behavioral and mental health needs. We will also have you meet with a financial eligibility specialist to see if you can qualify for any financial assistance.
