CODAC Achieves Three-Year CARF Accreditation!

CARF Gold SealCODAC has earned the full Three-Year CARF Accreditation once again!

Through a very objective and structured process, this achievement shows that CODAC is dedicated to pursuing excellence and improving the quality of the lives of the people we serve. CODAC has been CARF accredited for at least 20 years.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a tough peer review process and has shown a team of surveyors that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.

Here are just a few of the GREAT things that the CARF Surveyors noted about CODAC!

  • If there is one word that best characterizes this organization, it might be "accessible." Persons served are treated with the utmost in customer service. The members expressed how, regardless of the time of day or day of week, "someone is always there to help you and talk to you."
  • The members could not say enough good things about the program. All report the best thing about the program is the individual care they receive from the staff members.
  • The members of CODAC stated that they were very pleased with the services they receive. They stated that the staff treat them with dignity and respect and they are able to receive services whenever needed even if their recovery coach is unavailable.
  • The staff seem very proud of the work they do. A definite strength is they hire staff that have been or are in recovery. One member said "If a great program like CODAC can hire someone like me, anything is possible."
  • CODAC enjoys a good reputation in the community and maintains positive working relationships with community agencies and partners. Funding and community partners look to CODAC as an industry leader and innovator. Partners spoke highly of the CODAC staff and leadership stating that they are "responsive, easy to work with and clear communicators and "they go above and beyond for their members and provide needed services in the community that fills service gaps."
  • Case management service staff include an amazing array of levels, including intensive [dedicated] recovery coaches...recovery coaches...and peer support specialists. This range of staff ensures a depth of service coordination seldom seen in such a large organization.
  • CODAC lives up to its name: recovery and wellness. Members can flow through different levels of care service. They can get addiction treatment, mental health services, outpatient and physical health needs all met by the same program. It leads to great coordinated care.
  • CODAC has a dynamic interdisciplinary team of clinical professionals that are enthusiastic about the services they provide. The interdisciplinary team members work cohesively to provide coordinated, integrated care service. They have been leaders in the field for this integrated model of management. The management of Hepatitis C, wound care, vaccinations and basic health management has been transformative to members.
