When a rose is so much more than a rose: Walking out of a meeting of local businesses today, a woman came up behind us with a beautiful bouquet of roses from the Sprouts in the same complex. After I complimented the roses, she reached into the bundle and pulled one out to generously give to me. As she handed it to me, she glanced at my name badge on my lapel and said, "CODAC saved my life." We spent the next 20 minutes chatting on the corner with this beautiful soul, listening to her triumphs and challenges, learning of how the services she has received at CODAC for the last 15 years have helped her understand her anxiety and depression, and helped improve her life. The majority of CODAC's offices will be closed on Monday, January 16th for Martin Luther King Day. But, our 24/7 Substance Use Treatment Center continues to be open on ALL nights, holidays and weekends for people wanting to start treatment - CALL US at (520) 202-1786. Current Mathadone members: this weekend's Methadone dosing hours are the same as normal, but dosing will be closed on Monday, 1/16. Regular dosing hours will resume on Tuesday, 1/17/23.Any CODAC members who need some extra support while we're closed are encouraged to call our 24/7 Safety Zone line at (520) 202-1950. ...
