We are thrilled to share that CODAC has successfully completed another comprehensive survey by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)!
CARF accreditation represents the highest standard of quality, safety, and service in behavioral healthcare. During their rigorous evaluation of at least 2,000 CARF standards, surveyors conducted an in-depth review of our operations—and the results are a powerful testament to our team’s dedication.
Highlights from the Survey
The surveyors identified only two minor recommendations for improvement across our entire organization.
Remarkably, CARF reported zero recommendations across numerous critical operational and clinical areas, including:
-
Leadership and governance
-
Workforce development and performance improvement
-
Person-centered planning and clinical services
-
Medication management and telehealth
-
Program-specific standards
Celebrating Our Strengths
What made this survey especially meaningful was the time surveyors spent recognizing CODAC’s core strengths. They praised our experienced leadership and engaged Board of Directors, as well as our integrated approach combining behavioral health, primary care, and medication services.
Surveyors also highlighted:
-
Robust Systems: Strong data, quality, and performance systems.
-
Whole-Person Care: Outpatient recovery programming, accessible care environments, and welcoming facilities.
-
Trauma-Informed Services: Programs dedicated to promoting safety, dignity, choice, and healing for survivors, while actively supporting staff well-being.
-
Community Connection: Strong partnerships, continuous learning, and a deep-rooted commitment to doing things better every single day.
Above all, the surveyors noted the teamwork, compassion, and excellence witnessed at every level of CODAC. These strengths are not just put on display when an accreditor visits—they are built into the fabric of our daily work by staff who truly care about the people and communities we serve.
Looking Ahead
While CARF’s formal accreditation decision is expected in approximately six weeks following their final review process, we celebrate what this survey has clearly demonstrated: CODAC is an organization deeply committed to quality, continuous improvement, innovation, and, most importantly, you.
Thank you to our dedicated staff, community partners, and the individuals we serve for making CODAC a place of healing, hope, and excellence.
