CODAC Leaders Honored Among Tucson’s 40 Under 40

CODAC Health, Recovery & Wellness is proud to announce that two of its team members have been named among Tucson’s prestigious ‘40 Under 40’ honorees. Presented annually by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, this award celebrates young professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to strengthening the Southern Arizona community.

Mark Grant, MD | Medical Director of Substance Use Treatment

Since joining CODAC as an Addictions Fellow, Mark Grant has championed evidence-based care for individuals with opioid and other substance use disorders, particularly in underserved communities. His work as Medical Director spans clinical leadership to program development and staff mentorship, all rooted in a person-first approach.

Beyond his impact in Tucson, Dr. Grant has made global contributions through medical service and health campaigns in Bolivia and other underserved regions.

Through his work at CODAC and collaboration with community partners, Dr.Grant aims to educate both the medical community and the greater Tucson community. His goal is to foster a culture where individuals struggling with drug and alcohol misuse are approached with empathy and care, ensuring they receive the support and compassion they deserve.

Ashley Gonzalez, LAMFT, BHP | Outpatient Supervisor

Ashley Gonzalez is currently an outpatient supervisor at CODAC’s Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Center where she oversees the Engagement & Connections Specialists, a 24/7 team of 13 staff. In this role, Gonzalez is motivated by the opportunity to guide and empower individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

Gonzalez has played a key role in expanding access to mental health and substance use treatment for vulnerable populations, particularly through grant-funded programs. She has been at the forefront of implementing strategies to increase access to care, improve recovery outcomes and strengthen community partnerships. She is an advocate for equitable healthcare for marginalized communities.

“We are incredibly proud of Dr. Grant and Ashley. This recognition reflects not only their professional excellence but also their unwavering dedication to uplifting others and advancing CODAC’s role in community recovery, resilience and wellness in Southern Arizona,” says CODAC President and CEO Dennis Regnier.
